F. Gurrea Construction, Inc. is a full-service construction company that is licensed and categorized “AAA” by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board and is a leading builder in various diverse market segments in the Western Visayas region.
GENERAL CONTRACTING AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL
Like most business endeavors, FGCI started with humble beginnings. In 1982, the company began as a sole proprietorship, initially acquiring two dump trucks to deliver filling materials and handle small-scale contracts. In a span of three years, strategic management in the dynamic construction industry enabled the business to flourish. The proprietorship expanded its client base by increasing its hauling equipment. Motivated by this growth, it set out on an ambitious journey to enter the construction sector.
In 1992, with the strong determination and dedication of its workforce, the organization upgraded its status to a corporation to further strengthen its financial and operational capabilities. From a small scale business, FGCI stepped up and diversified its activities to cope with the growing demands brought about by the government’s focus on infrastructure as a means to improve the nation’s economy. To date, the Company can boast of a wide array of heavy duty machinery and equipment.
FGCI soon advanced to a large “AAA” classification, certified by the Inter-Agency Committee for Registration and Classification of Contractors to perform both General Building and General Engineering projects. This was followed by another major milestone in 2011, when the company earned the internationally-recognized ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification.
With these progressive and bold steps, FGCI is poised to become a key partner in the country’s construction business and, ultimately, in nation-building.
